Illustrated Book Design

This is one of the most interesting and exciting projects we’ve had the pleasure of working on. Our friends at PRESStinely came to us looking for help for one of their clients, accomplished author and painter, Sara Thurman. Sara had a personal story she wanted to illustrate, but didn’t know where to start with her very first children’s book. After reading the story, we knew this book had to be HER illustrations, not ours. So we were able to conceive a plan to guide her through the book layout, from composition, to color, typography and pagination — and provide high fidelity storyboards that she could use as a template for her watercolor illustrations. The finished product speaks for itself and she has earned 5-star reviews across the board for its message and thoughtful presentation. We’re honored to have been a part of this unique creative collaboration!
